About

"A space where discomfort is allowed"

At Yours Humanly, we believe therapy isn’t about fixing what’s broken-it’s about making space for what’s true. This is a collaborative space where discomfort, uncertainty, and emotional contradictions aren’t pushed aside they’re welcomed as part of your unfolding story. Together we’ll notice the quieter signals your body holds, the stories your mind repeats and the unspoken griefs that deserve a voice.

Priyanka Prakasan was born in Kerala and raised in Abu Dhabi, a place that shaped her appreciation for human connection and cultural depth. This early passion sparked a deep curiosity about the human mind and the layers of experience that often remain unspoken or unseen.

Priyanka Prakasan was born in Kerala and raised in Abu Dhabi, a place that shaped her appreciation for human connection and cultural depth. From a young age, she was drawn to the performing arts, especially theatre and dance, where she discovered the power of emotional expression. This early passion sparked a deep curiosity about the human mind and the layers of experience that often remain unspoken or unseen.

This fascination led her to study Psychology in high school and eventually pursue it professionally. Her journey has been guided by a desire to understand the inner world and help others make sense of their own. With a strong grounding in both creativity and compassion, Priyanka approaches therapy through a lens that honors each person’s story, emotional truth, and potential for growth.

Professional Path & Practice

Priyanka is a licensed psychologist accredited by the Community Development Authority (CDA), Dubai. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the Providence Women’s College (2017), University of Calicut and a Master’s in Psychotherapy and Counselling from the Rajiv Gandhi National Institute of Youth Development (2019). Over the past seven years, she has gained experience across a range of clinical settings including schools in Abu Dhabi, a hospital in Malappuram, Kerala, and Adyar Cancer Institute, Chennai; working with individuals across age groups and backgrounds.

Since 2021, Priyanka has been in private practice, where her work is rooted in psychodynamic, psychoanalytic, and interpersonal traditions. These approaches are grounded in the understanding that our earliest relationships shape the way we relate to ourselves, to others, and to the world around us. She works with adults with a commitment to sensitively exploring the depth of their emotions, inner struggles, and human vulnerabilities that emerge in the therapy space. She also incorporates Acceptance Commitment Therapy to support values-based living and psychological flexibility.
